How to open the back office generated xml file in excel and then save as excel file?
After clicking the generate excel button, Back Office reports will generate in a XML file format (and not an Excel file). 
So reports can be converted from XML format to Excel following these steps -
- Save generated reports on hard disk
- Open new excel
- Go to File menu
- Click on open menu and select file type all from drop down
- Select the xml file from the hard disk which you just saved.
- Now click on save as button and save as file type excel for future use.
Your data will get imported in excel. The same steps can be used to all reports convert into a excel file
