What is the tax rate for the Non Resident on long term equity or ETF?
Prior to 1st February,2018
All long term equity and equity linked investment (like ETF) sold on recognized Stocks Exchange (BSE and NSE) through Stock Broker are tax free for Resident as well as Non Resident Indian. Long terms means holding period of minimum of 12 months (to be on safer side minimum of 366 days).
